Hi I'm Ron

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church at age 19 while in Navy boot camp. I have been a member of the church for thirty years.

About Me

I married to my high school sweet heart and am a father of five and a grandfather of three. I served four years in the US Navy. I enjoy golf , gardening , reading, and sports as hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 19. While in boot camp for the Navy I started attending church services to get out of having to write letters for three hours in the barracks. During the second set of discussions the Elder who was teaching a group of us started asking us individually if we would commit to being baptized. As he was asking the other guys I remember thinking this guy is crazy! After only two discussions he wants us to commit totally changing our lives. I was going to say no! When he looked me in the eyes and asked, "Will you commit to being baptized?" , the spirit touched my heart in a way I never felt before and I , to my astonishment , said ,"Yes." I'm grateful for my relationship with The Savior and the influence he has been in my life.

How I live my faith

In my time in the church I've had many opportunities to serve. I'm now serving as a Bishop over a congregation and I am truly blessed for this experience. I believe that as we serve each other we learn and develop to love as the Savior did.
