Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a lacrosse player, a college student, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a fun loving guy that was going to college before heading out to serve a mission in Tijuana Mexico, where I am now. I played lacrosse in high school as a long pole defender, and love to play and watch basketball, football, and golf. I absolutely love music, love to sing and play the piano, as well as enjoy going to musicals and operas. I am all about enjoying life with my wonderful family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

While I have been raised in the Church my whole life, I have my own testimony and conviction of this church. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and each time ask God if it is true, and each time without fail I recieve an answer that it is. I love the gospel with all my heart, it a vital part of my life. Everything I do in life is influenced for the better by my beliefs. I have a personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, which helps me to make it through tough times with a smile on my face and the hope that every thing will turn out for the best. I have a purpose in this life because of this church and know where I came from, what I am doing here on this earth, and what will happen in the life after. I know with all my heart that this church is true, that Joseph Smith restored it to the earth under the direction of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and I know that we are led by a living prophet today. I know my Heavenly Father loves me and that Jesus Christ died for my sins, as well as everyone elses sins. And I know through this gospel we can be so happy in this life and have everylasting joy in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I don't solely just believe in my church, I try to live its teachings each and every day. I attended Church every week, participated in activities throughout the week, was a home teacher, where I taught families each month a little more about the gospel, and I have done many other things. I try to be an example everywhere I go and in everything I do of what Christ taught us to do. I am now serving a mission for the church and sacrificing 2 years of my life to teach this gospel to the people in Tijuana Mexico, so they may feel the same joy I have felt and begin to have a personal relationship with their savior Jesus Christ as well. I am 100% committed to this church and spreading its wonderful message to all the world.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Andrew
We believe that the bible is one testament of Jesus Christ when he lived in Jerusalem. We believe it to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. Both the Book of Mormon and the Bible are used together, one is not better than the other. They support each other but provide different accounts of different people, one on the American Continent and one in the Middle East. But the center of both is Jesus Christ. We love the Bible and use it so much in the church, it is just not the only book of scripture we have. With both the Book of Mormon and the Bible together, the witness of Christ is so much stronger.
