Hi I'm Cameron Nelson

I grew up in Oregon and I'm on my way to becoming a dentist and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently going thru college getting ready to become a dentist. I'm applying now and can't wait to move forward in my education. I love playing any sport and being outdoors. When I'm not outdoors or at school I'm spending time with family and friends. Growing up friends seemed more important than my family but I'm changing and love my family! My favorite thing I've ever done was skydive and I love the rush of a good adventure. I'm also an amateur photographer and graphic designer. I'm 25 years old and I've started 2 businesses that have been successful, and can't wait to come up with more ideas and ways to start up more.

Why I am a Mormon

There was a time in my life when I was left with a choice. I had to find out who I was and what I was doing with my life. After struggling for a while and making choices that I had to learn from the hard way I started doing some reflecting. As I turned to Christ I found peace and direction that I was looking for. A pivotal point in my testimony and true conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints came while I was serving a mission in Salt Lake City Utah. There I came to know who I was - I was a son of God, and he is a God that loves me and everyone else. While praying to him I found that He loved me even with all my imperfections, and better yet he loved everyone else too. As I continued to believe and study the gospel principles I learned for myself that there is a God who listens. He might not answer me right when I think I need it, but he does listen and answer my prayers in His way and time. I know that Christ has died and more now lives for me. I continue to follow His gospel because I know it will one day enable me and those I love to live together in his presence. The thought of being with my family forever, getting to see and love them, is a cherished and comforting reality of this gospel. They are the most important things to me, I love them and will do anything I can to be with them forever. Because God has prepared a way for us to return to him, and has shown this path to us in midst of the confusion of the world, I can go through life knowing the right choices to make. This church has continuing revelation from God that guides His church in a world that is full of chaos and confusion. I'm a Mormon because I know God will never lead me down a road that doesn't help me out.

How I live my faith

I'm a leader for missionary work in our ward. I help find and teach those that are interested in the church. In addition to that I help those that are already members of the church learn how to share their beliefs with others. I keep trying to learn more about this church so my testimony is strengthened and I can share what I've learned with others to help them find that peace in their life.
