Hi I'm Bruno

I was born in Mexico. I'm a college instructor, a US Army veteran. I am a husband, a father, a latter day saint. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. Most of the activities that I enjoy revolve around my family, including camping and fishing. At home we enjoy cooking and tending the occasional garden. My family enjoys road trips and travel to Mexico and Canada. As a college instructor I enjoy interacting with a variety of people from different backgrounds and countries. I tell my students: "I don't have to come to work, I get to come to work". I have served in the US Army with a deployment to Afghanistan and a mobilization during the Salt Lake City winter Olympics. I enjoy target shooting and pheasant hunting with my oldest son. Although I joined the Church when I was 19, I did have an opportunity to serve as a full time missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young man I searched for something that not only made me get closer to my Heavenly Father but was closer to what I read in the Bible. I have family and friends who have a variety of belief systems who helped me along the way. When I met the missionaries, their message not only made sense to the mind of a young man but it also felt right.

How I live my faith

I serve as the branch president (pastor) of a small congregation on an island of the Puget Sound. Most of the members of our congregation are retirees so my children have many grandmas and grandpas. I try to create a safe environment for the many students with whom I come in contact in my college, regardless of who they are or where they come from. As I try to live as Jesus would want me to live I try to create a home where my children can grow spiritually and can develop interests that will help them be assets to their community. I am extremely lucky to be married to my best friend, and cultivating our relationship is my first priority.
