Hi I'm Olivia Richards

I grew up in Arizona. I am nanny, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! I am Olivia, I am 19 years old and currently going to college to be a special needs teacher. I love to play the piano and have been since I was 7! I love music too, pretty much any kind: classical, indie, pop, country, you name it! I love to longboard, swim, and read my days away!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon church, but I continue to go because every time I go to church, pray, or read my scriptures I feel closer to God. I feel SO happy and at peace with where I am going in my life. I know that Joseph Smith really was a prophet of the Lord and he translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God. When I read the Book of Mormon I can receive answers to questions I have, or I can feel peace and love from God.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary for my church and what I do is I volunteer to talk to people who are new or learning about my church and help them by answering questions they may have!

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Olivia Richards
The Mormon church believes that the Holy Bible is a collection of writings and revelations from apostles and prophets. Through the scriptures we can come closer to God and receive answers to our questions and prayers. The Mormon church has 13 Articles of Faith, which are basic beliefs of the church. Number eight says, "We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God." What is the Book of Mormon?

Olivia Richards
The Book of Mormon is a set of ancient writings of prophets, just like the Bible, but in the Americas. The Book of Mormon is another testament that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that He lived and died for us. There is in fact a time when Christ appeared to the people in America after His Resurrection. While He was there He taught the gospel and organized the church. At the end of the Book of Mormon we are promised that if we read the book and pray sincerely we can know that it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less
