Hi I'm Whitney

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single adult preparing to serve a mission to Honduras. I love to play soccer and tennis and work as a CNA. I live in New Mexico and love green chile! I went to a semester at BYU-Idaho and have deferred so I can serve a mission. I love to read and I'm a book worm through and through. My family is the most important thing to me and thats a little about me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church but I know the church is true. I have read the book of mormon and have felt it is true. In my mind I cannot deny that feeling nor do I wish to. I love the organization of this church and the gospel. It makes sense to me that there should be a prophet on the earth with his apostles just as when Christ was on this earth. I know this church and gospel is true and I always want to do my part. I'm a mormon. I live it and I love it.

How I live my faith

In my branch I will be able to help people search for their ancestors. In my family most of my history work is done on my mothers side and I love to see how much my great grandmother put into doing it. She wrote books and books of history work and stories from my ancestors journals on their experiences crossing the plains or just making it through life day by day. Seeing the efforts of my great grandmother makes me want to see how much I can do with history work. I like seeing where I have come from and that my family is so close together. I enjoy visiting with other sisters in the ward and turning my thoughts from myself to others. For one it gets me out of my overthinking things brain to others and I always feel better when I'm helping someone else.
