Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Utah, and I love to spend time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving a mission in the Georgia Macon Mission, and I'm loving it! I'm from Cedar City, Utah, and I love to play basketball and tennis. My friends and family mean a lot to me, and I love to be with them. I always enjoy meeting new people, so I'm looking forward to going to college! I'm sure I'll meet tons of new great friends there. Whenever someone needs help with anything or wants advice, I always jump at the chance to help them. It's always neat to see others have their day brightened, knowing that you were able to make a difference to them.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to be a member of this church because I love the joy it brings in my life. I grew up in the church, and I've always been glad to be a member of it. I came to know for myself through study and prayer that this is the true restored Gospel of Jesus Christ! My family and I have been blessed so much by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I would never want to change that. It has brought more peace and happiness than I can even talk about in words. Whenever I have a question about life, I always get it answered either through prayer, going to church, reading the scriptures, or listening to the prophet's words. I know that God loves each and every one of us more than we can ever imagine, and that we can feel of his love when we come unto him.

How I live my faith

I always try to be the best person I can be. I never use swear words or drugs of any kind. I also never try to make anyone look bad, especially in front of others. The more I do these things and keep God's commandments, the more I see why God has told us to live by them, and that they're for our own good. I've come to learn that just as a parent teaches their kids not to touch the hot stove so we can avoid physical harm, Heavenly Father teaches us not to touch sin so we can avoid spiritual harm, and often physical danger along with it. I love visiting other people and getting to know them. Whenever they need anything that I can help with, I do it. In the end, both of us are that much happier because of that, so everyone wins!

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Brandon
We certainly have great respect for Joseph Smith for what he did to help restore the true church of Jesus Christ, but we don't worship him. He was a great prophet, but he also wasn't perfect and made mistakes like you and me. We only worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
