Hi I'm Jason

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Jason, and i've lived in Idaho all my life. I have 2 sisters and one brother. We are all really close. My parents are amazing and for as long as i can remember they have taught me to live the best i can and follow Jesus Christ. I can't think of a better way to grow up. I can remember many of the challenges that I had in high school and middle school. I wasn't sure who i was and felt very insecure. During those moments, I often felt the Lord's touch in my life. Those moments of peace and of feeling belonged came after praying to God and studying His word as found in the Bible and in the Book of Mormon. I love those books. God has also answered many of my prayers through His Holy Spirit and through other people. Right now i am studying Computer Engineering in a university. Those things I learned about God early in my youth have been of great worth til this day. God continues to answer my prayers, and i have a testimony that all people are invited to kneel down and talk with Him. God is our Father in Heaven, and we as His children can talk with Him, like any other father would like to talk to his child. The Book of Mormon and the Bible have both helped me understand my relationship with God as His child. I know He loves me because of prayer and the Book of Mormon. If it wasn't for those things, my life would be a lot different.

Why I am a Mormon

I actually grew up being a Mormon. My dad also grew up in the Church and my mom is a convert. I am grateful for them and their great examples in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their great examples have made me a happier person. One thing they helped me do was to know for myself if what the Church teaches is true, and to know if this really is the truth. I honestly believed it beforehand, but my conviction of the Church still wasn't firm. My parents and Church leaders invited me to read the Book of Mormon, to reflect on its message and to pray to ask God if it's true. I decided to take the invitation to pray about the Book of Mormon. as i did so, i felt my God's love toward me and i felt that this Book really was His sacred word.

How I live my faith

I just returned from serving as a missionary. i spent 2 years dressing up in a white shirt and tie with a name tag inviting others to come unto Christ. i did so by helping them exercise faith in Him, repent of their sins, be baptized by immersion in water so that they can be clean from their sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. after all this, my next mission was to help them endure to the end keeping the commandments of God.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Jason
Imagine, a loving Heavenly Father put his children on this Earth so we can prepare to live with Him and become like Him by living His commandments. God does not want us to do this alone and knows we can't alone. That is the main reason He sent His Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die for us, so that in this journey we can be receive help; We can repent; We can change and progress. A companion given in marriage is part of that support God wants to give us. When a couple is married, they are to help each other keep God's commandments. As they do so, they will be better prepared to meet their Father in Heaven. Think of the effect this will have on this couple's children. The children will be taught to live righteously and to love and serve one another. As long as I can remember, my parents have always tried to do their best and even change their lives in order to better follow God. I have seen those changes in them. Their example and teachings have helped me become who I am. The family fulfills God's plan of happiness. It is to help us prepare to live with God and live happily in this life and in the next.
