Hi I'm Kim

I'm from Oregon. I'm a statistician. I like basketball and volleyball. Gummy bears are my favorite candy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single professional working as a statistician and enjoying life! I spend a lot of time on sports courts and I enjoy going to the gym. My newest hobbies are cycling and fitness kickboxing. On the weekends I'll be outside enjoying nature, meeting up with friends for a dinner party, or enjoying a movie.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and it is because of Him I am able to enjoy the blessings of repentance, eternal life and eternal families. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it provides a lifetime of counsel, guidance and answers to my prayers. I know the Holy Ghost is here to comfort and guide me through daily decisions and trials. I am grateful that we have current day prophets who can provide guidance in these perilous times. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, who loves me and I love him. I was baptized when I was eight years old, however, it wasn't until I was living on my own and at college that I truly felt I had developed a testimony of this church. I had to decide on my own and could no longer depend on the testimony of my parents. I knew then that the Lord's hand was in my life because I felt comfort when I thought I was all by myself. I know that the Lord is constantly watching over me, helping me make the right decisions and protecting me from danger. This church helps me develop and strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ so I can make it through the trials that seem to have no end or reason. It provides me with hope and happiness. Happiness in my heart and mind.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday, attend an institute class Thursday nights and Friday afternoons, and frequently participate in special events and activities. An institute class is similar to a Sunday School class in which we study the scriptures and words of our prophets. I currently serve as an Institute committee member and am involved in conducting certain classes and organizing special events.
