Hi I'm Eric Waite

I'm a swimmer, Lego fanatic, psychology major and above all a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and on my mission for the LDS Church. I liked swimming (pre-mission), and I've finished a year of college at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I've previously done everything from sprinkler work to tire stuff to night security. I love my family and everyone that's supporting me, especially my Heavenly Father. I know that this church is true, but more importantly I know that you can know. All you have to do is ask God!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for more reason than I can list. I was born LDS, and my parents raised me strong in the gospel, and right around the age of 15 I decided to find out if it was all true. I prayed a lot, and just thought through it. For me, my testimony and belief in the gospel really came when I got personal confirmation that our Heavenly Father lives. From there, things kind of spiraled into the amazing knowledge I have now. If God lives, and if we're here on Earth and not being struck down every time we do something wrong, God must love us. And if God loves us, He wants us to be happy, and He wants us to have knowledge. Therefore, He would have given us the tools we need to be happy, things like scriptures, eternal families, personal and modern revelation. And as I realized a loving God would give us these things, I prayed to know if each of these things was possible and ordained of God. Every time I have prayed for one of these gospel principles, I have received a witness of how true they are.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the things I do. As a missionary, I spend basically every minute of every day trying to fulfill my purpose, which is bringing others unto Christ by helping them recieve the restored gospel through faith, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. I try to be an example of Christ in everything I do.
