Hi I'm Julia

I’m a mother of four young children. I like to write, create, and spend time with my children and husband.

About Me

I grew up in Canyon County, Idaho--surrounded by beautiful orchards and farmers' fields, the Snake River meandering through the Treasure Valley with the Owyhee Mountains as a backdrop. Some of my favorite things growing up were spending time with my family, listening to the sounds of crickets, sprinklers and crop dusters as I fell asleep on summer nights, reading for hours on end, taking walks in the rain, and watching movies. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development as the result of my interest in people and learning about their interactions with others. I continue my education every day through the different experiences life brings me. My days are spent taking care of my most important people in the world: my husband and children. I could find no work that would bring me more satisfaction or happiness than teaching my children, raising them and loving them. I am extremely grateful for the blessing of being a mother to my children and and for the privilege it is to be so involved in their learning and lives. One of the greatest blessings in my life is my husband, Kevin, through whose example I continually learn about my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness from God that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church on the earth today. I love Jesus Christ so much and want to be one of the sheep in His fold. I want to be like Christ and do the things in my life that He wants me to do. Ultimately I want to return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father. The ordinances we need in order to live with God again are found within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church).

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying and studying the scriptures every day. I serve my family and look for those around me I could also help. I teach the children in our church with the purpose of helping them feel the Lord's love for them. One of my favorite things that I do to live my faith is worshiping in our beautiful temples. This is a place where we can go and feel very close to God. Living my faith is not only about what I do but, more importantly, it is about who I am. As I try to become more like Christ He is able to to transform me into the person He wants me to be.
