Hi I'm Jordan Kattelman

I grew up in Farmington Utah. I'm studying biochemistry at the University of Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm just an average kid from Utah. I'm 21 years old. I love sports. When I was in high school I ran track and played football. In college I loved doing intramural sports with all my friends. I'm studying Biochemistry at the University of Utah. Currently I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taiwan, speaking mandarin Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, there came a point when I had to decide myself that I wanted to be a member. When I was in high school, and again when I moved away to college, I reached a cross roads where I had to decide whether I really believed in the Church. I prayed and read the scriptures constantly searching for an answer. Eventually it came. I can now say without reservation that I know that God lives. Christ is His son and He died and suffered the Atonement for us. This is His Church on the earth today, and we are guided by a living prophet. This Gospel has completely changed my life, and just about every good thing that has happened to me I can attribute in some way or another to the gospel.

How I live my faith

I pray and read my scriptures every day. In college I also attended some classes from the Church's institute of religion in Salt Lake City. I go to Church on Sundays and participate in my ward. In addition to that I am a missionary for the Church in Taiwan. Each day I spend all of time sharing the gospel with the people of Taiwan. It was a big commitment for me to put my schooling on hold, leave my family, and learn Chinese, but it brings me great joy to share this wonderful gospel with those who have not had the chance to experience it.
