Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in Utah. I love being in the outdoors with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a wife and mom of four can be quite adventurous at times. It is something I am growing to love and appreciate every day. Riding on scooters and little bikes, jumping on the trampoline, chasing kids, dancing around the family room, playing soccer and basketball with little ones has never been so fun! When I have a minute on my own I love to be active by participating in running, hiking, playing basketball, and any other type of exercise. I LOVE people..learning about their interests, their challenges, their strengths, and accomplishments. Spending time with my family and seeing them happy is my greatest joy.

Why I am a Mormon

Each day brings new challenges and opportunities for me. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have been taught simple truths through music and word that have brought me peace. I know that I am a child of a loving Heavenly Father and I can communicate with Him and He will guide me through my challenges. I have been taught about my Savior, Jesus Christ, whose life made it possible for me to be cleansed of my mistakes and empowered me to have literal changes in my desires and actions. Without fail He has lifted my burdens and brought me comfort, peace, and hope. I love learning new truths and praying for help to live them. It can be hard yet the reward is greater than anything money can buy. I love being a Mormon! It means EVERYTHING to me and to my family.

How I live my faith

Something I have enjoyed doing is serving the youth in the church. I have spent many years with the young women ages twelve to eighteen in Utah, Arizona, and Texas. Teaching Sunday lessons and participating in weekly activities has brought me a lot of joy. It may seem like I am there to help them, but I really believe I have had these opportunities for me to learn from them. Their Christlike attitudes have opened my eyes to what is most important in life. I have also had many opportunities to coach them in basketball. I have been able to help reach out to ladies I have never met, by praying for them, visiting them or doing something for them at least once a month. This has been an important part of my life for 13 years. For a year and a half I was able to help serve in the Women's organization in our congregation by reaching out to women in need. One of my favorite times is serving with my children because they absolutely love it! They love to put goodies on doorsteps, knock and run. They love to shovel the neighbors driveways, and put their garbage cans away. They have come with me to visit the elderly and they enjoy being with them. Through these experiences I have gained a greater love for people.
