Hi I'm Carolyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Wyoming and attended BYU after graduating from high school. While at BYU I studied Advertising/Marketing in the Communications department. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in April 2006. I also got married in April of 2006. Now I spend my time at home with my three daughters while my husband works on a PhD in Accounting. I play the piano and the violin, and I love to sing. I enjoy reading whenever I can find a spare minute.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to LDS parents who taught me the gospel from day one. I was baptized into the church when I was 8 years old. As my siblings and I grew up, we realized that we had to decide for ourselves what we believed. The reason I still go to church is that I have a testimony of the gospel. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I believe the gospel was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I believe that Christ lives. I know He came to earth to live and while He was here, He taught and served the people. He atoned for our sins and He is resurrected. I know that because of His atonement we can all be forgiven of our sins if we repent. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and it truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that I can get closer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book. I am so grateful for my knowledge of the gospel; it brings happiness into my life.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly in my local ward, along with my husband and three daughters. I recently served as a teacher in the primary (the organization for children), where I taught 4-year-old children the basic principles of the gospel. I am a visiting teacher which means I am assigned to watch over and support two ladies in the ward. I love the ladies that I visit and associate with. They are my friends. I try to check in with them regularly and offer any help I can.
