Hi I'm Marc

I love my friends, I love my family, I love life, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying Mathematics, business, and computer science in University currently. I've returned from a 2 year Latter-Day Saint Mission to Kyiv, Ukraine. Those were the best two years I have had in my life. I love my family more than I can express. I love singing and music. I did Karate for most of my childhood, and there the important spiritual truths that I was taught in my family and in the church were supported. We were constantly learning that we are important, that we need to develop self control, and that we are awesome. If we listen to those things, we will be happy! I love being happy because it brightens others' days as well as our own, and if we make others happy, then they make more people happy and the world really is a better place. Life is so great, and we have so many blessings. God is in control, and He is our Heavenly Father. Christ is His son, and our Savior. If we follow Him and His commands, we will have greater happiness than we can imagine! I love my Heavenly Father!

Why I am a Mormon

I once wanted to know if God loves me, so I asked Him in prayer. He answered, and as I have asked Him about other concerns and questions, He has answered me. I know that He leads us through a living prophet today and that this is His church. I know this because I asked him through prayer, and you can know too!

How I live my faith

I serve others when I can. I strive to love others, whoever or whatever they do. I served a mission for two years where I told everyone that would listen about what I believe. I try to be an example of our beliefs in all that I do. The church isn't something I do in my free time, it is a way of life for me, and it is a joyous one!

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Actually, everyone is encouraged to go to temple open-houses where anyone is able to find out more about these holy places. After a temple has been dedicated as an acting temple, or house of God, only those who are worthy and living according to the boundaries and commandments of our Heavenly Father can enter. It is a little like high level math classes. You can pick up a calculus book and see that it is high level math just by flipping the pages, but you must prepare and have learned all of the preceding principles in math to understand it! It is the same with temples. We can go to an open-house and feel how holy it is, but unless we are prepared and worthy to enter by keeping all of the commandments that God has set forth, we will not be ready to enter. In temples we can receive sacred ordinances that we need to live with God again, but again, we must be prepared to enter and learn how we must live to be with God and our families again. What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We know that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. He is our advocate with the Father. In other words, He is one who knows our situations, our problems, our strengths and weaknesses, and He can help us be worthy to live with God again if we will follow Him and His commands. We believe that through His atonement (or payment for our sins and weaknesses, which took place in the Garden of Gethsemane, on the cross, and when He was resurrected) we may become clean from our sins and live with God. These are His teachings in the Bible and they are the same teachings in the Book of Mormon. My favorite verses of scripture are Christ speaking to us telling us what we must do to live with the Father again. They are in the Book of Mormon, the Book of 3rd Nephi, chapter 27, verses 19-22.
