Hi I'm Kassidy

I love music. I love my family. I am a Registered Nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Southeastern Arizona that most call the Gila Valley. I am the oldest girl of 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls. I love having a big family! I loved growing up in a small town and growing up with lots of family surrounding me. One of the benefits of a small town is being able to be involved in as much or as little as you would like. I took advantage of this opportunity and played volleyball, basketball, and softball since 5th grade. I sang in our highschool showchoir. I was the lead singer in our school womens quartet. I was the student body vice president of my highschool. I play the paino. These activities kept me very busy, active and especially happy. After graduating highschool I went to nursing school, as being a nurse was one of my life long goals. I got married to a wonderful, smart, compassionate man who I love very much. And we are so excited to have our own family one day!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives and wants us to be happy. One of the ways that we can be happy is through living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Although I was raised in the church and have always known that there was something special when I would attend church with my family each week, I wanted to know for myself if the church was true. I read the Book of Mormon for my first time as a young teenage girl and took Moroni's promise at the end of the book, Moroni 10:3-5. He promises that those who ask God, with a sincere heart, if the book is true will get an answer. I took this challenge and prayed with all my heart to know if the Book of Mormon was true. It took a few weeks, but I got an answer to my prayer that I can never deny. Since that moment, I have known that this church is true. I love the teachings and the counsel that helps us to be healthy and happy. I love that it is family centered, I love my family more than anything else. I know that the teachings come directly from God. I pray each day that I can continue to be worthy of the blessings that the gospel brings into my life. I am so happy to have an understanding of what our purpose here on this earth is. I strive to continue to learn and grow to be able to be in the presence of our Heavenly Father once again.

How I live my faith

The main things I do to live my faith are reading my scriptures, saying my prayers, and attending church each week. Right now my calling in the church is over the 14-15yr old girls in my ward. I have so much fun with them and enjoy preparing lessons on Sundays and going to activities with them every Wednesday night. The youth in the church go through such termoil and temptation each day of their lives. It is amazing to hear of their testimonies and see their faith as it is tried regularly. They try to be morally clean, have clean langauge, not drink alcohol or do drugs. These are all things that are so prominant in the lives of young people throughout the world. I love being able to be a part of their lives as they strive to overcome temptations and trials in their lives. I also try to set an example to those I work with and my friends who are not members of the church. I try to never be shy about sharing my beliefs, without forcing them, because this is what brings so much joy into my life. Why would I want to hold back the primary reason of joy and happiness in my life from my friends, family, and acquaintances that do not have the gospel in their lives?
