Hi I'm Trevor Wilde

I am a Modern dancer hoping to make it professionally, I am a gay Mormon, and I am a college student.

About Me

I am working to become a professional dancer because dance is the thing I enjoy the most. I like to move my body and express my feelings in ways that words can't. Also, like I mentioned, I am a gay Mormon, which can be hard to wrap your head around. I am open about it because I believe it needs dialogue, and the pressure of bottling it in and telling no one becomes too much. Once I came to terms with myself, I have never been happier living the Church standards as well as being open about my sexual orientation. If there is a message I want to bring to any of you out there that are the same, it is that you are not alone and that it isn't impossible and that you should never give up on life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and was baptized when I was 8. Ever since I was 5 I struggled with my testimony because I was gay and I wasn't sure what to do and realized my sophomore year in high school that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the only source of peace and happiness that I would be able to rely on completely. Ever since my change of heart that year, I have continue to grow in testimony and be able to feel the Spirit in my life. The church is true, that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I am very critical of myself, so I am constantly putting myself through a refining process so I can be an example to those who look up to me. I am constantly striving to be better and be as Christlike as I possibly can so that I can try and touch those around me with my influence.
