Hi I'm Madilyn

Arkansas is home. Public relations graduate. Newlywed. Lover of music, the outdoors, shoes and good food. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest strength comes from knowing exactly who I am. I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and Mother. They have a plan for me. I am here to fulfill my mission on this Earth. I enjoy being outside. Hiking through mountainous Utah and lush, green Arkansas are a couple of my favorite activities. Having fun is so important to me- life is meant to be learned from and enjoyed. I love adventure of all kinds- skydiving is next on my list. I love music and have played the piano and the harp, and I love to sing. Music blesses lives and is a conduit for the Spirit to bring each of us closer to Christ and a more pure understanding of Him. I am a big sister to three of the most beautiful girls I know. They are all miracles to our family and I am grateful for their light. I adore children and love working with them. I recently graduated college in PR. My biggest dreams are to be the best wife and mother I can be. I am learning and seeking God's will for me daily. Life is hard, but because of the Atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, all of our worries, troubles, afflictions, and trials can be made right if we are but faithful to Him.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, being Mormon is a lifestyle. I have learned over and over in my life that the only way to sure happiness in this life is to put your trust in our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that the scriptures are true, especially the Book of Mormon. It testifies of Christ and His incredible atoning sacrifice for each of us that allows us to become more like Him. The scriptures bring me peace and comfort and answers when I need them. I also find great strength when I am on my knees. Prayer is an amazing gift our Heavenly Father has given to us. He wants each of us to speak with Him everyday. He wants to help us endure to the end and return to live with Him. He has provided that opportunity to us through His Only Begotten Son, who loves each and every one of us so much that He willingly gave His life for us. Because of that great sacrifice we are allowed to return to live with Him. I am grateful for trials and how the gospel helps me to endure them. I become stronger and closer to the Lord from my trials. Our wills become one in His purpose. I know the family, a mother and a father and their children, is ordained of God, and that we are here to uplift and strengthen one another in this life. Because He allows us to serve our families, He has also given us the greatest gift to have eternal life with our families when we are sealed in the temple. This plan is all encompassing. He is true and constant. When we do our best, He can make up the rest. He loves and needs each of His children. He blesses all of us in His due time. Being Mormon has given me a sure foundation and confidence that I know where I am going, who I am, and what He would have me do to bring to pass His purposes in this life. I am forever indebted and forever grateful to Him for the opportunity that I have to learn and grow on this Earth so I can return to Him and live eternally in His light and love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best disciple I can be every day! I read and study from my scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, from which I draw strength. The Book of Mormon is true and is another testament of Jesus Christ. He lives! I begin and end my days with prayer, and often find I need to pray during the day. He always listens! He hears sincere prayers--out loud, or in your heart. I do my very best to provide service and charity to someone everyday. I strive to pattern my life after the Savior, Jesus Christ.
