Hi I'm Katelyn

I'm a girl just trying to figure it out. And, I'm a mormon.

About Me

You think because I’m Mormon that I am just conforming But that is not the case I’ll lay this down with taste I don’t live life by rules, I live by use of tools I like to keep it real let me tell you how I feel Just because i’m humble, doesn’t mean I’ll mumble Yes I do have strong beliefs, why do you give me grief? If you don’t stand up for nothing then you will fall for something The reason for sitting in those pews is to learns some good values By having some devotion I can get through this commotion This faith it gives me love, and I know it comes from above These morals act as shields for this ever growing battlefield My standards may be high but they keep me safe at night I like the life I lead, its everything I need Everyone deserves the chance to stand and take a stance For what they believe for what they desire for what sets their souls on fire Who am I to judge or to push or to budge? We are all in this fight trying to do what we think is right We were given free choice so that our opinions could be voiced This is what I choose anything else I refuse This life I lead is hard but yes I chose this card

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a broken home I always felt like I was alone I never understood the point of living I saw no point in forgiving I had all these questions about life and death I was more and more confused with every breath I needed specific answers to all my doubting cancers I needed truth and nothing less I didn't believe at first, I must confess It was hard and oh so real But I couldn't deny the way I feel I found peace and joy That cannot be destroyed This faith can be tough But these feelings you just can't bluff Have faith and pray And good things will come to you every day It doesn't mean life will be easy And it certainly won't make it breezy Every challenge you face is a test So buoy yourself up and do your best This life is great Grab your courage and enter the gait I know this church is true And I know the book is blue.

How I live my faith

I try to do the best I can. Sometimes I fall short of what I would like and definitely don't come close to perfect. Thankfully perfection is NOT expected. What IS expected is that you try. Everyone is different, which means my try and your try may be different too. That doesn't give you allowance to slack, it just means that you shouldn't compare yourself to others. Just keep on keeping on.
