Hi I'm McKell

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a New Englander at heart! I grew up in Massachusetts and moved when I was a sophomore in high school. Moving was one of the hardest things I've done in my life, but I've learned so much from that experience. I still miss New England, but I know I've got a full life ahead of me! I love to read, play soccer, ski, and play the piano & the guitar. I'm currently a college student studying English. I love my family and having new adventures.

Why I am a Mormon

My religion is an integral part of my life. It influences everything I do, by my own choice. I really treasure the Atonement of Jesus Christ because it allows me to progress. Can you imagine being stuck without the ability to change? Also, I am comforted by the fact that I will be able to live with my family forever, even after death. There is a wonderful feeling about this church, and it brings me peace. This life is difficult and uncertain, but the gospel is solid, something I can always rely on.

How I live my faith

I am the secretary for my congregation's women's group (Relief Society). It's a busy responsibility, but I love doing it! I get to associate with so many amazing girls and women, and I love getting to know all of them. I also specifically visit two of the women in my congregation (a.k.a. my ward) as a visiting teacher. I keep up with their life, help them in any way I can, and basically be there for them whenever they need me. It's great to associate with and learn from so many different people. Reading from the scriptures and praying also plays a big part in my life every day. Each day I just try to live the best I know how and make the best choices I can.
