Hi I'm Brenda

I grew up on a chicken farm in Western Washington. I work in a Rehab department in Central Washington and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and the mother of two wonderful young adult children. I live in a beautiful valley in central Washington. I work in a hospital setting helping people recover from injuries and or health related problems. I love animals and christian music. My best friend is my husband Patrick who has made this journey on earth a pleasure. Family is very important to me and doing things with them brings me great joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 12 years old. I remember being taught about God and Jesus Christ and about why we are here on this earth and I knew what I was learning was true. Most of all I remember a feeling that I already knew these things, it was like visiting a place you had been before it was comfortable, calming. I felt loved and a connection to the spirit. I am a Mormon now because those feelings have never changed for me; the more I learn the more I know this Church to be true. I have found more joy in life as I have lived the teachings and principles the Church offers. It is a comfort to me every day to know my Father in Heaven knows me and he wants me to be happy. The Holy Ghost has testified to me that this Church is Christ's Church, he has a plan for each of use and he wants us to find answers to our questions.

How I live my faith

I beleive living your faith starts with being an example of what you know to be true. Be a good person, serve others, show compasion and follow the Saviors example. I am the young womens president of my ward and I have the special oppertunity to work with young women ages 12 to 18. I teach then principles that Heavenly Father wants them to know like faith and repentance. I love them as he would want me to. Each year we get to attend a Camp for girls where we spend time doing activities that bring them closer to Heaven Father that help them to see how very much he loves each of them.It is a special time away from lifes challenges where you can think. We also get the oppertunity to do a service project during our time there. Service is the way of life in Heaven.

Are Mormons Christians?

Brenda
When I think of the term Christian I think of a people that first believe in Jesus Christ the Savior of the World as taught to use in the Bible. Secondly a people that strive to be like him in purpose and in deed. To be Christian to me is to be your best self keeping Jesus Christ values foremost in your mind and heart. Not only proclaming to be Christian but acting upon that through Christ Like attrabutes. This is what I have learned as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
