Hi I'm Juha

and I'm a missionary for the church in Switzerland!

About Me

I have lived in Finland all my life and because of that I have had the chance to get good education and to have hobbies. I play the violin and the oboe and for the time being I'm also a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ. I love being a missionary! It's the best thing ever! I'm the happiest here than what I've ever been!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the church so I have been a Mormon all my life. My testimony has grown gradually over time and in junior high I really began to understand some things about the gospel. In high school I grew more in the understanding of gospel and His teachings. Then came the time for me to go to the Military... It was hard time but don't get me wrong here. I liked being there and I liked the training I got there. Spiritual me was barely alive, but I still clung into the idea that after my military service is over I'd get back on my own two feet again. Luckily I had support from my friends and family. And so the year in the military came to a close and I began to come alive again. I knew what had to be done. I started with the simple things such as prayers and reading the scriptures and gradually I began to use more time with those things. I needed to have a living testimony again! That urge drove me forwards and I came to understand the true meaning of our Savior. That truth had so great impact on me, greater than ever before! This is one of the most important things that I ever needed to know: Keep looking into the Christ! I know that Jesus Christ lives! This church is His and He is leading it through our Prophet Thomas S Monson. Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith is a Prophet!

How I live my faith

I'm trying so hard to keep to my resolve to have my eyes set in the eternal goals. I'm trying to keep my look in the Christ. As I do so it guides my actions every day. I remember to put Him first in my life and I have a growing need to go a mission! I have sent in my application and I'm waiting to get the envelope addressed to Elder Toropainen. I can't wait for my mission :) In the Church I'm the teacher and that calling is a little challenging. The brethren I teach can teach me more things than I could ever teach them since they are all a lot older than me! but putting that aside I have learned a lot about teaching and about the gospel. Gospel sure is amazing :)

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Juha
Joseph Smith was a man just like any other man here on Earth. He was given a job he had to do and he did it with divine help. Joseph Smith is not our Savior nor our God. He was a Prophet just like Moses or Abraham in their time. We worship Eternal Father and Jesus Christ our Savior. Show more Show less
