Hi I'm Kegan

I grew up in California, moved to Texas when i was seven, and now am serving a mission in Indonesia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an avid fisherman... no actually i'm not. I love sports, shooting, basketball, hunting, football, and track. I ran track at the United States Air Force Academy for a year before putting my college and military goals on hold for 2 years to serve my mission. I'm currently serving in the Indonesia Jakarta mission. I'm a huge fan of music, especially Jack Johnson and nice relaxing music like that. In high school i was big into sports and actually made i to state one year in track and field. I am a jumper, both a long jumper and a triple jumper. I also enjoy scuba diving, but i don't get to go that often.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony hasn't always been as strong as it is now, but i found that after truly trying to live the Gospel follow the commandments that an actually change came over me. I often thought of going to Church as just annoying and would stay out late on weekends. I now see how making God and Jesus Christ the foundaion and central focus of my life really does bring happiness and meaning to living! I follow the Gospel now because i see how it blesses my life and the lives of those around me. When I am living the Gospel I see myself at my best. I want everyone to feel the joy and peace in life that comes from choosing the right and following the path that leads to eternal life. Another big reason for keeping the commandments is the example I want to be. I have many siblings and I have realized that they do look up to me. When they see me doing what is right, they want that too! That is one of the things that brings me the most happiness in life; seeing my siblings choose the right!

How I live my faith

Before my mission i started teaching the youth in my branch. I would also try to read and pray each night and spend time with my family members. I've found that becoming friends with my family, including my parents and grandparents, has brought me so much joy in my life. Right now i live my faith by serving a full-time mission. Each day i wake up, go out, and share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Indonesia. I have found this experience highly rewarding and have learned so much about myself and about the love of Christ! I have discovered a love for the scriptures and a love for my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ that has lifted me higher and helped me attain all-encompassing peace and happiness in life.
