Hi I'm Ed Gassant

I love to laugh, I love to play sports, I love my fried okra, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ed. I love to play sports, hang out, and just laugh my head off. I am the oldest of 4 kids and I love my family VERY much. I was born in southern California and raised in southern Florida. I enjoy the simple things in life and I am currently serving a mission in Orlando Florida speaking Haitian-Creole.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Gospel along w/ my brothers and sister. I don't have the perfect family but because of this Gospel it kept us closer and closer together even w/ family that are not of the same faith. I know this Gospel can bless me and everyone else in this life, if we live it, anywhere. This Gospel is beautifully simple and simply beautiful enough for children to understand it. Because of this Gospel I know that we are all children of God and he wants us all to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by saying my daily personal prayers, daily scripture study, and going to church every Sunday and attending church activities. I try to live a happy, positive life by trying to live the way the Lord wants me to live. We believe that if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. I try to give service where ever I can w/ out asking if they need it even as simple as saying "Hi" or as small as picking up a pencil. I live my faith also by serving a mission in Orlando Florida and sharing a wonderful message about Jesus Christ.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Ed Gassant
Because of the savior, we can be forgiven through the Atonement of Jesus Christ by the process of repentance. Because Heavenly Father knew we would make mistakes, he created a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. He gave us, who is his son, our Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered for our sins and died on the cross so that when we sincerely repent, we can be forgiven. When we repent, we stop doing things that are wrong and we try a little harder to become a little better. Even though, Repentance can be really hard and scary at times, I know with the surety of my heart that, repentance is a beautiful thing, it brings us closer to Christ. If God really loved us and wanted us, his children, to come back to him, He'd give a savior to die and take upon the sins of us and give us the opportunity to repent daily to return back to him. Sincere repentance comes little by little and it brings peace and forgiveness. Heavenly Father promised that if we do so, he will remember them no more. Show more Show less
