Hi I'm Jessica Kristine Amidan

I'm a daughter, a student, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Jessica and I am a college student at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love music. I'm a percussionist and I also play a little piano, guitar, ukulele, and I enjoy singing. I love playing marimba. I was in a touring marimba band in high school and loved performing and teaching younger children how to play marimba. One day I want to teach elementary school. I love teaching kids. I believe we need more teachers in our public schools that teaching for the kids not just for a job. I want to discover ways of teaching that incorporate more hands on learning and more involvement in the arts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of many great examples that have come into my life over the years. My friends and my family were always very supportive and helped me in gaining my own testimony by sharing their testimonies. Through the many small but significant challenges in my life I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life. I want to be a witness of him in all I do because I know he lives and He lives so that we all might live. This church helps me live in a way that helps me progress to become more like my Savior and to prepare to one day stand with him face to face.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church and serving other members. I'm also not afraid to speak out about my beliefs and stand up for them. If anyone has a question about my beliefs I do not hesitate to share. I also live my faith by trying to follow Christ and being a good example and friend to others.
