Hi I'm Lauren

I am a wife and mother. I am a registered nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter, sister and friend. I am married to my best friend. I am a mother to 3 children. My sons are 3 and 2 years old and my daughter is a 2 weeks old. I am a college graduate. I am a registered nurse. I take care of women and their brand new babies and I love my job. I enjoy decorating my home. I like to run and play softball. I like watching movies and reading a good book. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it just feels right! Growing up, I occasionally attended a non-denominational Christian church with my family. When I was 16 I met my first boyfriend, Shane. He was Mormon but was not active in the church. He was making bad choices in his life and in our relationship. We broke up after about 9 months and lost contact for about 8 years. Even though we hadn't seen or talked to each other in years, I thought about him and his family often. November 2007 I went to a friend's birthday party and there was Shane! We talked for hours that night, Shane was the same but different in all the right ways. He was more considerate and thoughtful of others. He seemed genuinely happier than anyone I knew. I wondered what had happened to him during those years we were apart. He told me that he became active and served a mission for the Mormon church. We began dating again and I became more and more curious about the church and how it had brought such happiness to Shane's life. I started meeting with the sister missionaries in my area and making changes in the way I was living my life. I started to feel an emptiness in my heart begin to fill with true happiness. I began to feel the Holy Ghost and I knew that this church was true. By April, Shane and I were engaged. In May, I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. September 22, 2007 Shane and I were married in a civil ceremony. October 28, 2008 we were married in the Mesa Arizona temple and just 4 days later our first child was born. Since becoming a member of the Mormon church my life has been so blessed. Our oldest son is now 3 and a half. We also have a 2 year old son and a 2 week old daughter. We have had challenges but we stay strong and faithful that the Lord is watching over us and will help us if we do our part and obey the commandments as we are told to do. I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father's love and understanding and I am grateful to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith be trying to be a good example to those around me, especially my children. I read scriptures and pray daily and my husband and I encourage our children to do the same. We spend quality time together as a family. I help organize activities that strengthen the women of our church and participate in serving those around me.
