Hi I'm Ernie Wilson

I'm from Martinsville Indiana. I was in the military, I'm a convert and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a husband to the one and only love of my life for over 50 years. Our lives and priorities changed when we becme members of the Mormon Church. It's helped us weather all the storms of life that we all experiance. My lielong profession was designing manufacturing tools and machines. I retired as a Captain of Infantry in the National Guard after 26 years of service. My wife and I have three daughters and 11 grand children. In 1970 myself and 7 other men founded a Little League football organization that has continued and grown in our community. Presently, I'm writing three books and have completed one of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I would have to say that I'am a Mormon because God had two young missionaries find me and teach me the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I had heard about Brigham Young in school, but didn't know anything about Mormons. To be frank and honest I was very skeptical about their message until they began to answer the quetions that I had. Then they taught me to pray and to ask God if what they were teaching was true. They taught from the old and new testiments of the bible and introduced scripture I never heard of before. The Book of Mormon. While reading it one night ,I recieved a witness from the Holy Spirit that it was true. The light of Christ opened my eyes and I've never turned back. I testify to all who read this that there are no better men or women on the face of the Earth than is found in this Church. We are led by Jesus Christ, the son of the living God and I'm a member of His great Church.

How I live my faith

I'm an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've always accepted any position in our Church that I'm asked to do i.e.Sunday school, Boy Scouts etc. I try to be a good neighbor and to be there for them and members of our congregation when they need help. I forgive people who have done me wrong and I don't harbor any grudges toward them. I guess that I could say that I try to conduct my life the way I live my faith and that is by living by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
