Hi I'm Laurel Taylor

I am 29 years old. I love my husband, daughter, family and friends... I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice all while working as a 911 operator for my local sheriff department. I love my job. It definitely makes me more grateful for the life I have. For the longest time, I wanted to move to Washington, DC and pursue my dreams working for the Secret Service, but God had another plan for me. I met my husband, which changed that all. We then got pregnant with our first daughter who had an even bigger mission that I could ever imagine for her. Her life on earth was short and she is now waiting for us in the spirit world. We look forward to having other children then raising our first in the Millenium. Other hobbies I have include traveling, sewing, baking, and whatever other crafts I can learn...

Why I am a Mormon

I am a 5th generation Mormon. In my early 20s I put other priorities in front of church and didn't go as often as I should. I thought my life was perfect and I was getting blessed. However, once I put God first in my life the blessings were poured down on me. That is when I gained my own testimony of the gospel. the prophet, scriptures, tithing, and all the other things that come with it. Once my daughter was born was when my extreme testimony of the plan of salvation came. I understand that she is serving a mission on the other side. My husband is a convert and I can only imagine the work she has cut out for her teaching the gospel to all her family. I have made a promise to her to do the temple work and family history. I like to think of us as a team. This gospel is true. Jesus Christ is our Savior. When we feel that no one else understands us... he does. That is an amazing feeling.

How I live my faith

I live my faith very simply. I try to not gossip or speak badly of people. Sometimes the easiest ways of changing are the hardest. I like to set a good example to all that I meet so that when it comes up what faith I associate with they aren't surprised. I like to always be the one smiling and cheery whatever the circumstance or experience. At church I help with youth girls camp. Seeing the testimonies of the teenage girls is uplifting and seeing them grow and learn is inspiring. I can't wait to have my own little girls go through the program and grow and learn themselves.
