Hi I'm Kelli

I run hurdles, I love sports, I'm a college student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I attend school in a small town in Southern Colorado. I originally came here to play soccer. Although, I made some amazing memories and met some of the best people, I quickly discovered that playing soccer wasn't what I was supposed to be doing. I now run track and am having the time of my life. I am happier than I have ever been because I put the Gospel and my Savior first in all that I do. Sometimes it's hard but I have found that doing this has been the most rewarding thing that I have ever done in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints my entire life. From a very small age, I could see clearly the difference between those who were LDS and those who were not. I always knew that we stood out but for a long time I didn't realize how true that was. I've known that this is the way for me for as long as I can remember, but even with that knowledge, I have fell short many times. I would be no where without the Atonement of Jesus Christ. There were times in my life where I was so disappointed in myself and the things I was doing. This gospel gave me (and constantly GIVES me) the hope and strength to change my heart and be truly happy. I have to work everyday to be the person I need to be so I don't become someone I wasn't meant to be. Our Heavenly Father is so loving, our Savior is so loving; this gospel is a gospel of love. I am LDS because in this chaotic world, it is my only source of true peace and safety. When everything around me seems to fail, this is consistent. It has never let me down or led me astray. When I have done the things I was supposed to, in the right way, things work out so much better than how they would have if I would have done them on my own. I love my Father in Heaven and He loves me. I know I am a child of God and I will live my life in the way that shows that.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best in all of my responsibilities. I love having callings in the church even though some of them take a lot of time and work, I know they all have a purpose and Heavenly Father needs people who are dedicated to their callings. That is the only way the church will progress. I live my faith by being a good friend and helping whenever and wherever I can. One of the best ways you can teach people is by your example so I try to live my life by that. There is always someone who could use a hand, an ear, or some other service. There is always something we can do. I try to remember that and use that in my life. To live my faith means I put the Lord's will before my will. His will will never fail me.
