Hi I'm Bodee

I'm a Mormon. My favorite part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is continually learning and doing more.

About Me

I like to recreate the Medieval Ages. I have my own armor that I made, and it keeps me active and healthy. I've graduated High School. I've achieved the Eagle Scout Rank in Boy Scouts. I"m serving my mission in India spreading the Gospel to people who've never known Jesus.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with the church. My parents weren't and aren't active so I went with my grandparents, now I go with my siblings (I'm the oldest). A lot of my friends in my ward have parents that aren't active either, so I think that brings us closer. One woman in our ward calls us the "Lost Boys". But we feel we have been found by these Church members.

How I live my faith

I started a program for the Lost Boys where, if our families don't get together on Mondays for Family Home Evening (as the Church teaches), we get together at a host's house and have our lesson there. Right now I'm on my Mission, teaching people personally about Jesus Christ. I've seen so many people come to joy once they realize the blessings of God in their lives.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Think of this diagram. There is an upside down letter V, at the top is God, at one bottom corner is you, at the other bottom corner is your loved ones. As you and your loved ones move closer together, you both become closer to God. And vice versa, as you both come closer to God, you naturally come closer to each other. Show more Show less

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

In troublesome situations, you need to be both prapared physically and mentally. Being prepared for the worst creates a different state of mind. If you know you will be ready, then you don't worry, when you don't worry, you feel peace. This peace lets us become closer to Christ, and live aligned with his teachings. He did preach peace and readiness, after all. When we are close to him, he gives us assurance, and confidence when we need it, thus the mental stability to take control of the situation for the better. Show more Show less
