Hi I'm Sharlene

I grew up in Tennessee, attend Brigham Young University, I'm serving a mission for the Church in Kobe, Japan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Tennessee and I am one of 2 children in my family. My parents were converts to the church in 1978 when my dad was attending graduate school in Oklahoma. I was the first member of my family to be born into this great gospel. I go to school at Brigham Young University studying art and I want to go to pastry school when I graduate. I love painting and drawing as well as baking and just about anything creative.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by birth, but my faith in the Church was strong long before I came to this earth. I know that this is the true church of God and that through this gospel, we can return to live with Him someday. Without this gospel and the Book of Mormon, we cannot reach or full potential nor can we live with our Father in Heaven again. I love this Church, I love what It teaches us to do and be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those around me. I come from a place where members are few and I use that as a chance to let my light shine to those who would never have a chance to see what this church is. I am a missionary for the church and will be serving in the Japan Kobe mission. But, I cannot stress enough that every member IS a missionary. No matter where you are, you can bring others to the light of Christ and help them to see and reach their full potential through Him.
