Hi I'm Brooks Heder

I'm a Missionary for The LDS Church. I love sports, outdoor activities, animals and adventure! I also love food. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I still live in the town where I was born. I am a member of alot of clubs and sports teams. I have played basketball ever since I was five. It was something I really liked for a long time. I played on a couple of High School teams and that was a good experience, but I didn't really enjoy the pressure much. I play city league now. My freshmen year in High School I decided to try out for the golf team. Somehow I made the team and it all kind of exploded from there. I worked hard at it and tried to become better. I'm still playing and love being nearly a scratch golfer. I am just like most other teenage boys. I do crazy things, I love hanging with friends. I am happy to be in the situation I am, with family, friends and a faith in God. I know whatever situation you are in you can look for the good things you've been blessed with, and your life will be better.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that it is the best way to live my life. You can find no fault in any of what my faith teaches me to be, and even though sometimes it's hard to keep all the rules, I know that they help me to be a better person. I know its true. I know the feeling of the Holy Spirit and I can't deny it. I'm so grateful for God's plan for our happiness because I know that my family can be together forever. In the last year I have had a uncle and an aunt die of cancer. It was hard for all of the family, especially their kids, (my cousins) but because we knew we will see them again. our lives move on and we are all happy.

How I live my faith

Every day I do my very best to be an example to those around me; to show people that it is better to be good and doing the right things. I have a priesthood responsibility to visit and check in on some people in my neighborhood every month and I love every one of them. I read my scriptures every night and I pray for strength and help for coming day. I push myself to be better. I love being a member of this church and I know that it is true and the best thing for me.
