Hi I'm Amanda Huffman

And I'm a Mormon, serving as a missionary for the Church in the Idaho Boise Mission.

About Me

I enjoy writing and reading, singing and am teaching myself to play the piano. I have two siblings, a younger brother and sister. My dad is a truck driver, my mom a stay-at-home mom. I spent two years at BYU-I studying psychology, hoping to be a marriage therapist. I'm currently serving a mission in the Idaho Boise Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and it is a very essential part of my life. Neither of my parents were active members growing up, but they decided to really devote themselves to the Lord and to us. I have been so blessed for that decision! They taught us right from wrong, taught us about Christ's love for us and His plan to help us return to Him and the Father. I know that the church is true because of what it has done for me. It takes a person with many faults and helps me to change, to improve, and how to go about doing that. Something that brings so much peace to a very troubled person could not be wrong or bad.

How I live my faith

I seek to help others build their faith in Christ, starting by building my own. I do this through the basics - saying my prayers daily, reading the scriptures (both the bible and the book of mormon), and going to church weekly. I reach out to others in need, try to be a friend, and constantly seek to improve. Step by step, I'm trying to become more like Christ (which will most definitely be a life-long journey - at least!).
