Hi I'm Yvette

I'm a nurse, a mom and love the Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and didn't really realize until I had children of my own how much it helped me in my life. Some of the decisions I've made have been because of the help I received from answers to my prayers. I wouldn't have made it through nursing school without the help of the Lord. Many of the jobs I have had are due to answers from prayers.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of the teachings of the Gospel I know who I am, where I came from, why I am here and where I will go when I die. This knowledge gives me peace and happiness in my life. I have had my hard times and trials like most people, I feel discouraged and sad at times, but I can rely on the Lord to help me get through it. Over time I overcome the trial and sadness and see the growth and strength I have gained. We aren't perfect, we are all human with weaknesses and the Lord knows us better than we know ourselves, so why wouldn't He be the best one to help us. Jesus Christ has suffered all things and knows our hearts. He will always be there for me and for you if you are willing to have faith. I fall short sometimes and then try again to be better. That is what the Atonement is for. Heavenly Father wants us to come back to live with him again and through the Gospel of Jesus Christ we can. The Holy Priesthood can bless you with the Holy Ghost, and can guide you through your difficult trials. I know the teachings of Jesus Christ are true, and His Gospel has been restored on the earth in these latter days so that we can live with him again. I hope you will pray as I have and feel the burning in your heart that it is true, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a Director of Home Health and a Nurse, nearly every day there is a time when I feel the need to call on the Lord for assistance. I start my day with a prayer that I will be able to help uplift and encourage others and be a good example. I ask for guidance to know what I should do to serve His children (people). Many times through the day I am blessed with inspiration to know how to help someone or what to say to comfort them. At home with my children and husband I focus on caring for them temporally and spiritually. By my example more often is how I serve. I work full-time and also serve in the church as a leader to the women's organization. Many times a week I go to visit women that are sick, discouraged or are going through a tough time in their lives. I am the one who feels the blessings of service as much if not more than they do. I count on the Lord to help me know what these women need and how I can help them. Sometimes we meet to learn about how to be a better parent or ways to be more self reliant. I like to learn how to better myself and my family. I find joy in my life and in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect, noone is, but the Gospel helps us do better each day.
