Hi I'm Maggie

I love romantic comedies, making people laugh, being a mother, and giving the gift of hearing. I am a Mormon.

About Me

By definition I guess you could call me a widow. I don't really care for this word because of my faith, I know I am an eternal companion. My husband didn't leave me alone, I am the mother of four children; three girls and one boy. I can still see him through them. You could say that the empty nest is fast approaching. My oldest daughter is engaged to be married, my second daughter just graduated from college, my third daughter is preparing for a mission for the church, and my son is about to graduate high school. My kids bring me great joy and I am glad to say we are an extremely close knit bunch. Families are forever. I work full time for a non-profit organization that provides hearing aids and services for those who cannot afford the gift of hearing. My job has been a blessing from the beginning. I had been a stay at home mom (which will always be my main title), when this opportunity opened up to simply start a database for this company. The Lord truly blessed me when I was able to advance in my career and gain my state license to dispense hearing aids. I can see the hand of the Lord through out my whole life. I enjoy spending time with my kids, friends, and my puppy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I was baptized at the age of 8, I am thankful for parents who instilled the importance of attending church meetings and developing a deep rooted testimony. I remember when I was about 15 years old I had a deep desire to know for sure if the gospel had been restored, if Joseph Smith was a Prophet and if the Book of Mormon was true. I studied , pondered and prayed, The answer came to me very quietly. It is true. I am grateful for the companionship of the Spirit that helps me know when things are good and right. There have been times in my life that I don't know how I would have endured certain trials if I didn't have the fullness of the Gospel in my life. Recently my husband passed away. I miss him so much. I know that I will be with my husband in the eternities because of the covenants we made in the Temple. Throughout this trial I know that if my testimony "roots'" had not been firmly planted when I was younger I would have had a harder time coping with such a loss. I feel my Savior's love and I know that Heavenly Father knows me and knows what I need even better than I know.

How I live my faith

I love life. I enjoy people. I love to serve others. I am currently serving in Primary (this is like Sunday School for the younger kids). I teach the 5 year old class. This year we are learning how we can choose the right. My primary kids are so fun and cute. I am sure they teach me more than I teach them. Every week I look forward to their answers to somewhat deep questions, role playing, and art work the center around Christ. I have learned that seeing them through Christ-like eyes, that the scriptures about being as little children is true.
