Hi I'm Ashleigh!

I'm normal. I'm a Boston Red Sox Fan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm at non-traditional student at ITT-Tech. I'm majoring in Computer Drafting and Design. I love architecture and the beauty it brings to the world around us. I enjoy reading as well. I mostly read historical fiction, but I like to dabble in the fantasy realm too. I'm just starting out on this journey of life with getting married in April!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents already members of the church. Though this gave me a firm foundation in life, I've had my struggles and I left the church for 3 years in my 20's. I eventually returned with a new faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After living the way the world told me I should I found that I wasn't happy and I started to look for a church. I didn't want to start with "my parents church" so I looked elsewhere. I found that after attending other churches The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the only church that could answer my questions. This Church was the only church that gave me hope for more. More in purpose, life, and after death. This is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My most recent contribution to the Church is I created the Sunday Bulletin. I announced activities and the program for the meeting. I also was able to find uplifting artwork and spiritual thoughts. It was a pleasure to feel that I helped bring the Spirit into the lives of each of my peers each Sunday morning. Also compiling the bulletin brought the Spirit into my life each week, keeping my thoughts more Christ-centered.

How does the Church finance its operations?

Each member after baptism is asked to give a full tithe (10%) of their income. The Church uses this money to build Temples and other church buildings. Show more Show less
