Hi I'm Haliaka

I love life. I love to have fun. I'm Hawaiian-Fijian and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love going to the beach. I canoe paddled for four years in high school. I like to sing and play music. I play the piano, violin, and a little bit of ukulele. I love dancing hula or just dancing in general. I am the oldest of three, I have a younger sister and a little brother. My friendships are very important to me, but it's all about family for me. I am currently studying to be an Elementary teacher at BYU Provo, and I love it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS Church. My parents are strong members, and they knew that their responsibility was to raise my siblings and me the right way. Because of their faithfulness in the gospel, I came to learn of and develop my own testimony of the Church. I love going to church and learning about my Savior and my Heavenly Father. I know that They both are alive and know me personally. I know that everything taught in this gospel is true, as well as the prophet and church leaders who guide us today. I don't know what I would do without this truth in my life. I can't imagine the emptiness that I would feel without it. I know that Christ is my brother and that He died to save me and everyone else in this world. I chose to be and remain a member of this church because I know, for sure, that it is true. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I am not ashamed.

How I live my faith

Everyday, I thank Heavenly Father for having the opportunity to be a part of his church and gospel. I always make sure that I am Christ-like in my actions and words. I love going to church, and I do so every Sunday. I read my scriptures and say my prayers. I try my best to always have a positive outlook on things, even though some times are especially harder than others.
