Hi I'm Tiffany

I'm a Mormon, a mom, a wife, a home schooler, a photographer, a chocolate chip cookie eater, a laugher...among other things.

About Me

I am a mom of four littles. I have an 8 year old daughter, and then three boys ages 6, 3 and 1. I also have two step children, a 15 year old boy and a 12 year old girl who live in Utah with their mom. I am married to the man of my dreams and my favorite thing to do is laugh with him. We live in the beautiful town of Bend, Oregon where there is lots of hiking, parks, river activities, waterfalls, and my favorite...shopping places! I home school my kids for the selfish reason that I just love spending time with them and watching them learn and grow. I am a photographer...but lately have let the business go to spend more time with my kids and husband and not so much time in front of my computer. I love to cook and bake yummy things, I like to play dancing games on the Wii with my daughter. I hate being cold and I love the sunshine.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it's the faith I grew up in first of all...but I stayed a Mormon because I fully believe that it is the true church. I feel my Heavenly Father's love each and every day and can feel his presence when I pray. I believe that Christ gave us this church to grow closer to Him and to God so that we will be able to live with Them again someday. I believe that through the power of the priesthood, through the right keys we are able to be sealed together as families forever and will be able to be with the one's we love most throughout the eternities. I believe in the Book of Mormon, that it was written by ancient prophets, for our time. I'm a Mormon because I believe.

How I live my faith

In my ward I serve in the nursery. I take care of the small children ages 1 1/2 to 3 so that their parents can go to classes. I teach them basic Gospel principles such as that they have a Heavenly Father who loves them, that they have a big brother who watches out for them and that their families can be together forever. I teach them about prophets and things for them to be grateful for through simple lessons and songs. It's amazing how much these little ones understand. Their love is pure and they are so much fun. I also serve in the activities committee for my Relief Society. I help plan fun and enriching activities for the women in our ward to get together and enjoy one another's company while being spiritually uplifted...or just to have a fun night out. I love using my creativity to help out in these callings that I have been given. In my home we do nightly song and prayer with our children before bed. The song is usually something that they are learning in church or based on something we need to work on as a family to grow our faith, or bring us closer together. We kneel down together as a family each night and thank our Heavenly Father for all that he has given us and ask him for the blessings that we are in need of. Each night someone different offers the prayer so that even the youngest gets to communicate out loud with God. We also have a family night each week which is just a little bit longer than our normal nightly ritual, because we have such small children, it's hard to keep their attention for much longer. We usually just add another song, have a small lesson prepared by either one of us parents, or one of the older kids and then we work on memorizing a scripture or article of faith. Other than that, we just try to love everyone as Jesus Christ loves them, and to be a good example to those around us.
