Hi I'm Joan Louise

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A church convert. I'm a mom to my precious adult son who is a gift from heaven! My only child, is now 30, raised him as a single parent. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth. The father left us when he was an infant. There have been many struggles along the years. The journey way difficult at times, but we made it with Heavenly Father's help. Now he is on his own in another state and I'm alone feeling scared. There has to be a reason for me, going through 2 years of unemployment, no support system and other issues, but I believe in miracles. I was raised back east, went to 12 years of parochial schools. Earned a bachelors degree later in life. Many emotional ups and downs, I remarried in '02 and he passed in '06. My parents reside in Florida. I have a single brother in Colorado. Been struggling to find a career again outside the home, 'my purpose', in order for my financial welfare to sustain. Facing uncertainty with economics, causing a lot of physical and emotional pain, I ask for your prayers in support of other single sisters like myself in the church. My ward is small. Younger families with kids, limited common factors. I'm seeking other singles and activities my age group to share life. I design, create unique themed all occasion gift baskets, make fleece blankets and volunteer for a cat shelter. A cook, baker, especially of italian food. Was told by senior management once, I resembled a diamond, precious, sparkling and multi-faceted! God Bless You!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know this church is true. People care. I grew tired of the politics and two stepping with cothelism, even though I respect it...I wasn't getting anything out of it over the years and never felt happy.

How I live my faith

everyday is one step at a time knowing Heavenly Father has things in control and I need to trust in Him
