Hi I'm Milenka!

I am a Mormon .. and I'm HAPPY!

About Me

I'm the youngest in my family, I have an older sister and an older brother. I grew up in a wonderful country, full of nature and nice people. I already finished highschool and I'm about to leave on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was asigned to work in the Buenos Aires South Mission and I will be reporting to the Argentina Missionary Train Center on November 7th. I really love music. I spend most of my free time playing the guitar and writing my own songs. I love reading books too! And I also love learning languages. I can speak Portuguese, Italian, French, English, Spanish of course!, a little bit of Greek, and now I'm trying to learn Guarani. I really want to travel around the world someday and see different countries and cultures...

Why I am a Mormon

I always believed in God. My parents always taught me to be faithful. But in certain point of my life I needed to feel His love in my life, I needed to know God. I was just a teenager but I had had certain experiences in my life that practically devastated me. I used to think that there wasn't any reason to live in this world. When I found the Church everything changed. Now, I felt my Savior's love in my life. Knowing God, knowing Jesus Christ and knowing me, has helped me to be happy, to know who I am, and who I could be. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has made me a different person. We really are Latter-day Saints because we follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and we follow His example. I know that this is the only true church, that is the Church of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon can change someone's live! I know it, it happened to me. In that book we find the word of God and we can get closer to Him. I always wanted to serve a mission so I could share with others all the joy and the blessings that we can find in our Savior. In only two months I'll have the opportunity to do it and I couldn't feel happier!

How I live my faith

I really try to live according to what I know it's true. I read the scriptures every day, I help others as much as I can, I go to many activities of the Church as possible, I go to the chapel every sunday, and I like sharing with others this beautiful gospel. Every since I became a Latter-day Saint I've had the opportunity to participate in different kinds of programs for youth that have helped me to grow. I've met wonderful people who help me to be a better person every day and always have been there for me. I can't imagine a life without the gospel for me or my family.
