Hi I'm Tarryn

I live in Australia. I love working with people and seeing people smile. I'm studying nursing. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm studying nursing and can't wait to graduate. I love all things relating to health. I love spending time talking, laughing and playing with my family and friends. I try and always see the little miracles in every day.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel very blessed to have been born into a family who had already been taught the gospel. I love my family so much and I am so grateful they not only believed the teachings of the gospel but practiced them. From a very young age I was able to see the difference the gospel made in my life. My parents have always attributed their happiness to blessings of the gospel and being kind to others and simply deciding to be happy. Somewhere along the way I wanted to know if the gospel was true for myself. Through attending church, participating in the youth program, trying to listen and act on what i'd learnt, living the standards of the church, studying the scriptures and praying often I slowly and steadily grew my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. And today i can say that I believe! I am a Mormon today simply because it makes me happy :) My Saviour helped design a plan that can help me grow and develop in this life so that one day I can return and live with my family in heaven with my Lord and Saviour. He paid a price I can never repay, but I hope living the gospel and striving to be like Him can show my love and eternal gratitude. I have found true happiness through living the teachings of this gospel and hope for my future.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by example. I heard a quote once that went something like this ... "Live so that those who know you but don't know Him, will want to know Him because they know you". I have countless examples in my life that encouraged me to learn more about my Saviour simply by living the gospel themselves, and on occasion, bearing their testimony. This year I was called as an indexing family history consultant. I was a little taken back because I didn't know much about family history and i'd never even heard of indexing ... but I was also excited to be learning something new. Indexing is basically a form of genealogy. We transcribe scanned copies of marriage records, census' etc. so that people can access records on the internet no matter where in the world they may be. "Living my faith takes practise, patience, courage, consistency and a healthy dose of humour" stole this quote from my Dad ... but he was spot on :)
