Hi I'm Matt

I am a video producer, a sand volleyball player, a would-be chef and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am passionate about life. I love a good adventure, whether it is camping in the high altitude pine tree covered mountains, rafting down a river, producing a video, feeling the sand between my toes while on the volleyball court, or cooking something new in my kitchen. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places, as well as experiencing favorite places over and over again. I am fascinated with castles and the world of fantasy. I enjoy movies and the escapism that it brings, allowing me to be deeply enthralled in some fantastic adventure or sit on the edge of my seat during an intriguing suspense thriller or even a good romantic comedy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon, the Gospel is something I have always been deeply rooted in, I have never questioned my faith, I have just always known that God lives, and loves us, and wants us to be happy. Jesus Christ is our Savior, and through his Atonement we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and him as well as our Family members as long as we repent. I know that through Prayer we can develop a great relationship with our Heavenly Father and better understand his will for us. I know that we have a living Prophet on this earth today, Thomas S. Monson, who leads and guides us and if we follow his counsel we will be richly blessed. I know that families can be together forever. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God, I have read it many many times, and I have Prayed about it, and have received an answer. I know that if we read it along with the Bible and other scriptures our lives will be richly blessed. When it comes down to it, I am a Mormon because I am happy when living the principles I know to be true, and unhappy when I am not.

How I live my faith

I rarely miss a Sunday for church, I actually can't remember the last Sunday I missed church. I have held many callings in the various wards that I have been in. One of my fondest callings is the one I currently hold, Gospel Doctrine Teacher. I love learning more and more about the Gospel and teaching Sunday School classes. I also enjoy getting to know other members through various activities and through home teaching. I try to be the best that I can be.
