Hi I'm Courtney

I grew up in Utah. I going to school to become an Elementary Teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently on a mission to serve the lord, by building his church for 18 months.I have started and will continue to go to school to become an Elementary Teacher. I like to do anything outside like playing ultimate frisbee, volleyball, camping and lots of other things. I love cooking and quotes. I clean when I am frustrated. and I love seeing simple things in life that brings joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family but my conversion has been a slow process. I have gone to church almost every sunday of my life, but I didn't really have an open mind to listen to the spirit and learn until I took a job as a Nurses Assistant which required me to work some sundays and I realized that it mean so much to me and made a huge difference during my week. But even then I have had to continue to listen closely to the spirit to learn even more to grow a testimony and I still feel that my testimony is so small and has a lot to grow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things that make a huge difference. Like reading my scriptures, attending church and being involved there. Like getting to know all the members, participating in classes ect. In daily life I also dress and act in a way that reflects who I am and my standards.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, we strive to help everyone. I think this misconception might be because we interact a lot as members so they are the people we notice who need our help. On the other hand their is tons who are not Mormon's who are helped each day by Missionaries, and we try to help with humanitarian needs too. "The Mormon Church has donated more than $1 billion in cash and material assistance to 167 different countries in need of humanitarian aid since it started keeping track in 1985." Show more Show less
