Hi I'm Colleen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newlywed and have tons of fun navigating through life's adventures with my husband. I enjoy traveling, reading and learning. I recently finished school to become a Medical Assistant and am equally excited and nervous to apply my new knowledge. I am grateful for every day that I am given and the continual opportunity for growth that it provides.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a wonderful Catholic family and had the privilege to attend a Catholic school throughout my childhood. I was taught about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and had a sincere desire to develop my relationship with them instilled in me. As I grew, so did my desire to know more about them. A very close friend and her family became members of the Church when I was 12. In the years that followed, I often went with my friend to church, weekly activities and girls' camp - I loved the peacefulness that I always felt when I was there. My testimony grew, ever steadily, as I continued to learn more of the gospel and its truthfulness. I was baptized in June of 2010 and I am very, very grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that the experiences and lessons that I was blessed to have learned in my childhood prepared and gave me a firm foundation of faith that allowed me to recognize and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ when I heard it. Heavenly Father knows each and every one of us and gives us all the experiences, challenges and resources we each need in our personal journey in finding fulfillment and truth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be diligent in my daily prayers and scripture study. I love serving in the nursery of my ward and working with the young children. They are such a wonderful blessing in my life... they continually remind me of all that is good and wholesome in this world.
