Hi I'm Barbara

I'm a stay at home mom to three boys and one sweet little girl. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have been married for 12 years. I love being a mother to my four terrific kids ranging in age from 9 to 4 months. They keep me busy, but when I have a little free time I love being outside, hiking, running, biking, whatever it may be. I also love reading...history and biographies are my favorite. I love people and enjoy volunteering at my school, church, and in the community.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and taught its doctrine as a child. As a teenager, I decided it was important to learn for myself what was true and if the Book of Mormon was what it proclaims to be, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. After much studying and reading I felt a peace and assurance that its words were true. This small beginning has grown over the years as I have continued to learn and put into practice the precepts of my religion. I find a tremendous amount of happiness in knowing that God has a plan for us. We lived with him before living on this earth. This earth was created for us and we were sent here to live and learn as families. Part of that plan is that this life is not the end, that when our time on earth is finished we will return to live with God again and have the opportunity to live with the people we love, our families, forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily as I study the Savior's teachings and do my best to live by and teach them to my family. I have found that serving others, especially the members of my family, is the best outward reflection of my love for Jesus Christ and of my desire to live my faith. I hope that the love I feel for the Savior is felt by those I interact with throughout the day. For many years, my membership in this church has also given me the added privilage and responsibilty of teaching children in Sunday School about Jesus Christ and encouraging them to follow His example.
