Hi I'm DeLoy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 74 year old grandfather of 23 and have a wife and 6 children. I am a retired upholster and have served two missions with my wife and one as a young single missionary. My wife and I serve in the Idaho Falls temple as ordinance worker for the last six years. We are active in the indexing programs and spend time most days indexing family history records.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a Mormon and my family has been for many generations. I was raised to be active in my church and have been so throughout my life, I have served three missions and have had the oportunity of serving in the leadership of the church and also as a Bishop. I spent my life in the service community as a furniture repairman and as a sales rep in the carpet, drapery and furniture industry. I have spent considerable time as a young missionary and as a teacher in the church and have had considerable experience studying its doctrines and our beliefs. I make it a practice to study my scriptures and have had the experiece of gaining a firm conviction of the the divinity of Jesus Christ and know that he is my Savior. I also know that we can recieve devine direction today through the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

I spend my time now serving as a retired person with time to volunteer in the church and the indexing programs. The church has no paid ministry so we all volunteer to help where we can to make the programs move forward.
