Hi I'm Pat Lovell

I grew up in Utah. So yes I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the small town of my birth until about the age of 8. At that time my family moved to Salt Lake City. This was quite a change for a small town girl. I love crafts and sewing, I like to be creative in anything I do. I received a degree in education and taught school for the first few years of marriage. My husband of 42 years and I raised 5 children. We are enjoying being part on the lives of our 16 grandchildren. I had never lived anywhere other than Utah until I married and now I have lived in several states and seen most every state in the country. Together we have made some wonderful life long friends who are and who are not of our faith, but have always taught us much and shared their goodness with us. we treasure them.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah. And my family were Mormons. My mother was a convert. I remember her telling me of her conversion. She had it rather tough. No one else in her family wanted to follow in that path. Some gave her a real tough time because she did join the church. But she never faltered. That was such an example to me. But finally around the age of ten I decided I wanted to know for myself if all I had been taught was real. Was it true? So I began praying and going to church because I wanted to, and listening to the things that were said. Before long I had begun to develop a real testimony. The rest is history. I know the Savior lives. I know he loves me. I will be ever grateful for his love and atoning sacrifice.

How I live my faith

This is a part of my daily life. My faith is my life. I serve others where I can. I pray daily sincerely. It is fun and surprising, but my husband and I work with the cub scouts. We have learned that we can work off each others strengths and help a little there. We do our best to do those things that we know are right. We feel we need the blessings. But we also feel those blessings strengthen us and help us with our trials. We read from the scriptures as often as we can. We truly love and trust each other because we live strong moral lives and we know we can trust the Lord to help us as we go. He has never failed us. Things haven't always gone as we had hoped, but they have always worked out. My husband is a home teacher and I a visiting teacher. Some of the closest friends that we have today have come to be through that service. I have always had a special love for music. I love the piano, but was never able to develop that talent as I had wished. I still enjoy it. I love to sing. I have been in school choirs or church choirs since I was in Jr High. Music is huge for me. I appreciate those who share that talent.
