Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ashley. I am a wife, and a mother, a daughter and a sister. I am blessed to be living my childhood dream, married to my high school sweetheart, raising our 4 children together, two daughters and two sons. Though life can be quite busy and downright hectic at times I can truly say that I love my job as a homemaker. I also love photography and hope to,one day, take some classes and improve my skills. I love food, eating it and cooking it... mostly eating it! I love creating a "home" for my family, and I love making fun, lasting memories for my children. My children are my whole world and I am a better person because I have them in my life. I hope that they will always know this and always feel my unconditional love for each of them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know this is the true church. I know this is the only church on the earth with the full and restored gospel of our Savior Jesus Christ. My testimony didn't come all at once, rather, little by little over time. I am grateful to have been blessed with this knowledge and with the confirmation of the Holy Ghost. I have found that my testimony has been strengthened through my trials and my afflictions. When we found out our son needed life saving open heart surgery at the age of 10 months old, I was scared. This rocked me to my very core. I never felt more helpless in my entire life. I remember not knowing what to do, and I just wanted the Lord to take this away--and some how heal my son without surgery. I felt alone, and ended up alone, on the floor of my bedroom closet. I prayed, pleaded, begged, and sobbed out loud to my Father in Heaven. When I was finished, probably an hour later, I didn't feel alone anymore. I felt confirmation that everything would be alright... though in my heart of hearts I knew he'd still have the surgery. And he did. During the surgery we had a lot of people praying for us and our sweet little baby. I have never before in my life felt the prayers of others so tangibly, but I truly did. I was uplifed through that whole day, and especially during the 3 hours of his surgery. I am a mormon because I know my Father in Heaven loves me and wants me to be happy. I know that he sent his Beloved Son to die for me. I know that he will never leave me alone, and that he will always help me and send others to be my angels when I am in need. I know that this is the restored gospel on the earth today and I am so grateful and feel so lucky to be blessed with this knowledge here in this life and to be able to live it in my daily life. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I can (and you can) return to live with our Father in Heaven again.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in my church. I recently started serving as the secretary in our ward's (local church) women's organization. I am still getting the hang of it and all that it entitles but I am loving the work and getting to know so many of the women in our ward and serving them wherever I can. I also serve as a visiting teacher. A visiting teacher is asked to fellowship and serve specific women in the church. The goal is to have all the women in the church to feel loved and accepted, as well to know if there are any needs of the sisters and their families.
