Hi I'm Tara

I love my family, good books, a freshly painted wall, yummy snacks, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother-of-three, enjoying my last year rocking my 30's. When I am not driving my kids around, volunteering for one of their church, sports, or schools or buried under endless piles of laundry, I love to create. I am most happy sitting at my sewing machine or covered in paint and dust from my current home improvement project. I am happily married to the man-of-dreams. He is perfect except for the fact that he considers all of my DIY projects the bane of his existence. I hate injustice, being cold, and school projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the promise in James 1:5: "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him". I've tested this promise many times in my life and I've been blessed each and every time with an answer. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and wants nothing more than for me to find the way back to him someday. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ contains the fullness of His gospel on the earth.

How I live my faith

Being a military family, we move often, and are grateful that no matter where we move there will be a church family ready to welcome us. I try my best to serve others whether they be in my church family or community. Mostly, I live my faith by trying to raise my children so that may daily grow closer to their Heavenly Father. Currently we are trying to read the scriptures together each morning before school. It's a struggle, but I fill it is important to give them a little spiritual armor each day before sending them out into the world.
