Hi I'm Lisa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love everything from swimming to photography although I'm an amateur at both, I love to read, history, animals and genealogy. I grew up in Kentucky, which I love this state.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was baptized when I was 3 years old, so I pretty much grew up in the church. But like everyone else I had to gain my own testimony. I love what this gospel brings to my life. Growing up in a single parent household I am grateful for the knowledge of eternal life and that I will see my earthly father again. I am grateful for the knowledge of eternal marriage and families that can be sealed for Time and All Eternity and not for just life. I am grateful to know that there is a prophet on the earth today. That we are all ONE church. That no matter where I go in the world, whether it be in Kentucky or Utah, or Taiwan we are all connected through our Faith in Jesus Christ. It is his church and it is him who we follow and we are so blessed to have someone to guide us here on the earth to keep us on the straight and narrow. I am grateful for saints of the past who gave there everything to make the church what it is today. I am grateful for a brother that loved me so much that gave his life for me. That even if I was the only person on earth he still would have came down and give his life for me.

How I live my faith

I work with the youth of our church. In particular the Young Women of the branch aged between 12 and 17. We are a small group of saints so we only have 2 girls that attend but where we might be small in size but we are mighty in strength. The girls we have are very smart and active. Knowing who they are and where they are going and there purpose here on earth gives them the self confidence and knowledge that they need to help them become the wonderful girls that they are. I am very proud of them.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is so important for many reasons. We believe that through the proper temple blessings and if we live our live righteously we can be with our family forever. I am so grateful for this knowledge. To know that when I get married to my husband and have my own children that when I finish my time on earth that I will be able to spend eternity with my family. Life doesn't end at death, why should family association? Show more Show less
